I'm hoping not to sound too snobbish, but I like the M's better. They are not nearly as flashy or gaudy. I like the subtle, possibly sleeper, look of our cars. I know some enjoy the look of a heavily modded car, but the GTR is too "ricey" for me. I said the same thing about the RX8's when they came out. They are both too busy looking.
If I can, I'll try to park next to it so you all can see the size difference.

Is it a white one? Some Asian guy in a white GT-R always picks up his (I'm assuming) gf in my friends apt. complex in Frisco. Yeah, that thing's ginormous!!!
Fast as f#$k but it looks hideous. IMHO, the M3 looks better (same reasons as you) also.
