The M3 is the easier car to drive, and some will misunderstand the Porsche's potential by observing one not driven very well. But it seems to me, sports cars should be evaluated more on personal preference and driving style. I recently bought a Cayman S, which I find more fun to drive than either the M3 or the 911 platform cars. It's power deficiency will hold it back on the more open courses, but it's sure fun in the corners.
I completely agree. I'm actually in the market for a cayman R, which is the best handling car I've ever driven, less power than my 911 but simply amazing through the corners.
