Excuse the out of the blue 1st post...

FYI - The tilt alarm sensor can be switched off by pressing the lock button on your fob again, immediately after you've locked the car. Details under the Controls\Alarm System section in the Owner's Manual. I've travelled like this on the Spirit a number of times with no issues/alarms and with the confidence that my car remains locked at all times.
