To be fair one is a GT car and the other is a sports car(performance wise a supercar)

Mag times are great, especially when they are done by the same driver, on the same day, with similarly equipped cars. However, it's doesn't tell the whole story. Certain cars have very steep learning curves, like the porsche carrera GT, or even the Z06. Others can be driven by a kid, like the GTR. This is what those expert numbers don't tell you, and it can be a huge reality check at the track.
