I doubt if it will work unless you increase camber more than allowed with the factory suspension. I used a square wheel/tire setup in an E46 M3 with no problem, and the car was lowered. But, I generally used 2.5-3.0 degrees of negative camber in front.

I have an ’11 E92 ZCP, and was considering running rear wheels and tires in front, but was wondering about clearance. After driving the car a few months, and since I will not do much track stuff with it, I think I’ll just stick with the OE setup. The car is better balanced stock than was my E46, and I don’t find an unacceptable amount of understeer. My guess, you will need a lot more camber to avoid any clearance issue.
