That is just plain not true. Yes there are people that sell used superchargers but almost all of them are due to selling/turning in the car. I doubt you can find more than a few people who sold the kits because they weren't happy with the performance and wanted to go back to stock. You almost always get more money from selling used parts off the car than as a package with the car.
You could be correct about resale value of the car but I plan on keeping my car for a long time and I enjoy it much more with the supercharger than without - it is a huge difference and is totally worth it.
