I would look at it this, somewhat, in the same way I would look at stock market reactions. When a future event is predicted to hit prices, the stock market usually adjusts prices in advance of the event. So that on the day the event occurs, prices don't change. All this is to say, price adjustments on used M3s, if any, have already occurred. IMO.
Is this car worth 54K? Answer - Are you really a convertible person? Do you love the color? Are you satisfied with the history of the car and that the car is not likely to have been abused? Are you placing too high a premium on a cars low mileage? Have you priced similar cars nationwide to get a feel for what these cars are going for in different markets? Are you prepared to negotiate with this dealer for a lower price?
