I used it at the track this past weekend. Worked great! Didn't need to remove the reservoir cap. Just spread the pads a tad, pulled them out, spread the pistons all the way in, then inserted the new pads. The tool is very worth the money and the small space it takes up in your tool box.
The plate is 3.75" w x 2" h. Below are some pics of a ST60 and ST40. The ST40 is no issues...easy.
The ST60 may be more of a challenge. If you use it sideways, you won't touch all 6 pistons. If you can insert from the top, you can touch all 6 but you might need to turn the wheel so you can get the tool into the wheel well. I'm just going to take a pair of old ST40 pads and use that as a plate to push all 6 pistons back in conjunction with this tool. Problem solved. If you need to change brakes in your F1 car at racing speeds...this tool is not for you. If you want something to make pad changes easier and quicker...this could work for you.
