No its the constant taking on and off that we do with track wheels and the pretty ridiculous stresses we put on the lug bolts/studs on the track that causes them to stretch/fatigue. On a street car that only sees the lugs off when doing tire changes, I wouldn't sweat it.

If I plan to start tracking my car 8-15 days a season is it worth converting over, or just wait till I have dedicated track wheels?
