There is some play with the tips, however, the outer tips are normally positioned to hang lower than the inner tips. On mine, the right outer tip may hang slightly lower than the left outer tip. This may have been due to some slight variance in the welding of the brackets between the two sides. Unless you are looking at the tips from eye level, it is not noticeable.
