Bottom line, the MPG rating system is bullshit and can be beaten. It doesn't truly account for a real world test of fuel efficiency. Like weather changes, traffic, uphill/downhill, turns, stop lights, different speed limits, etc... They use a controled close course oval track at a constant speed of 70mph in many of their tests.
