Magazines have proper test equipment and drivers. They drive cars well prepared by manufacturers (or tuners in that case) and are usually tested at the same facilities. These numbers, at least for serious magazines, are the closest to real.

On the other hand, drag strip numbers depends from so many variables that they are quite meaningless in real life.

Enjoy your mag racing (they are every bit as variable as any other metric)..... Try to visit some tracks and put some skin in the game.
