It does not take 8 hrs. to install springs. I might take 3-4 hrs. for an amateur DIYer. All you need are your basic hand tools, a jack, and/or jackstands, and a spring compressor. Do the DIY. You learn more about your car, save some money, and have greater satisfaction at the end of the install.
