Whack'em with a mallet?

When changing out the m3 wheels, do they typically sticK? Am guessing no, with studs instead of lug bolts.

Seems like maybe a dumb question, but on my x5 the wheels were unbelievably difficult to separate from the rotor after the lugs were off and many dudes on the forum suggested hitting them with a mallet to break them loose. Was a common problem amongst other x5 owners, and that was a common solution.

Is a bit suspect with a 4500 lb truck on a jack doing this, and at that point Just said f it and took to the tire shop. Would like to swap my own in the m3. Curious if I'm in the same boat and just shouldn't even try.

My c4 cab with bolts also does this.
