Since every BMW sport seat in the past 30 years has had an adjustable thigh bolster, my only guess is that these pics represent only one seat option - Maybe base, maybe a lightweight seat, IDK.
I'd be shocked to my toenails if they scrapped adjustable thigh support for weight savings.
