Good points.
Personally, I wouldn't mind paying a little extra to
not have to drive an extra 3 hours-plus each day and to enjoy a good time in Austin during the evenings...but hey, to each their own! And as mentioned, if you do Air BnB or similar and have a small group to split the rate...it's probably cheaper than a hotel would be on a normal day. My $0.02.
