First off, welcome! Second, good luck with the waiting, it about drove me insane!

You will want winter tires (or at least all seasons) for the winter if you plan to drive it at all. The high-performance summer tires that come standard on the car won't perform well at all when the temperature is cold (below 40F from what I have been told). I plan to get some winter tires soon but I haven't decided which ones yet. I'm leaning toward something more geared toward good wet traction with decent snow performance since it snows so little in Seattle. And when it does snow I don't trust the rest of the drivers out there enough...
