I love the GTR, obviously, and I have passed on buying 997 Turbos because of price but you are exaggerating the gap. I had my eye on a 997 Turbo S my dealer had, that was nicely equipped, and it was $165k. I couldn't rationalize the gap when the '12 GTR came out but it wasn't even close to $100k(let alone on a regular Turbo).
