1 - You can connect the SS x-pipe to the front oem section (the one w/4-cats) w/o hacking anything since it's just a bolt-on but not sure if it'll bolt-on directly to the oem axle-back muffler (I think it will)

2 - If you're replacing just the x-pipe section & nothing else then it'll obviously sound louder but not sure how much louder. Might as well save up a little longer & get an aftermarket axle-back while you're at it but that's just me.

3 - Not sure either

4 - It'll be louder if you like that
