St. Josephs is in need of blood platelets for Nick and apparently they are out nationwide. According to his nurse, he said even if all of us rushed down and gave blood today, the process to screen and extract the platelets takes 3 weeks and he needs them TODAY.
If any of you know anyone who is in a power position at Red Cross or any blood banks or any high ups in any other hospitals- I have no idea if it would help or not- but ask. It can't hurt. If there is ANY way anyone can find a secret stash of blood platelets anywhere in this country- we need it.
