The EC-7 was designed with a specialized barrel shape has a large, sharp step-up after the drop center to clear even a Brembo 380mm kit with lots of room to spare. The Brembo kit is much larger than the Stoptech 380. The EC-7 should have more clearance in this area. The ARC-8 has our older barrel design but can still easily clear a Stoptech 380 kit.
When I got these wheels about 4 years ago I was not aware af the Apex wheels being available.I also have a set of Apex's which I got 3 years ago and they have less caliper clearance to the barrel than the TR wheels do but both sets of wheels work great for my application with the Stoptech 380's.
