If you want the new design, you need to do an entire CIC retrofit. Not hard at all but it will require hardware changes. Patryk @bimmertech could help you out. THat's where I went to for my 2008 335i.

If you just want a map update, you can download the DVD that's here somewhere but it doesn't change any user interface, just "newer" route info.
