anyway back to the op. Yes it can probably be 90% similar to the M3. However, it will be complicated because all the mounting points are different and the car is wider. Having said that, it can be done and people have done it. Search for a thread i started for a converted M3 in China. Go to E90post.com and you will find people who have actually done it.
