Haha I keep trying to tell myself that. The steering wheel feels slightly harder to turn as well, the handling is spot on but the wheel feels slightly "heavier" haha. My BMW tech said its all in my head and the car will prob never feel the same again because of it. Guess its time for a new one haha.
But OP, Do you hear the ticking only on start up? or all the time at idle? or even while driving??
