Thinking about Repainting my M3

I have a Jet black e92 that I was thinking about selling but I'm also considering doing a color change and keeping it. Currently painting my turbo e46 m3 Stryker Purple but I didn't feel bad about repainting that car because it was a 6k car that needed a lot of help anyways.

My e92 is still worth a fair amount of money and I imagine that repainting it would just kill any resell value. I know if I repaint it I would basically have to keep it forever unless I want to throw money away. Which is fine. I can't imagine any other car I rather have for 30k.

Would it be better to paint it a BMW/BMW Individual color or something completely 1 off like Volcano Red from McLaren.

Plan on doing jams and undersides, but not planning on pulling the engine or the interior. Since it won't clash with anything.

PS: I work at a body shop so I know what my cost is and its less than getting a good wrap done. Also I don't like wraps. They always have this ugly texture to them.
