My M3 is a 2008 and I don't track my car. I am just glad all the times my stupid diff bolt broke it did not do any real damage to the car
but some people are not so lucky. All I recommend to everyone with a E9X M3 that is getting up there in age to keep a eye on your diff bushing because its going to happen because it caught me off guard. Once you hear the clunk and thump when you accelerate and decelerate
just go on ahead take a good look at your diff bolts. Oh one more thing depending on how the diff bolt breaks, it can also damage and break your exhaust mount bracket this has happen to me as well because you will hear the rattle along with the clunk & thunk from the diff.
