A local shop looked up the MANN replacement and came up with part# HU 9265Z, instead of the HU 816 I received so I do have the wrong filter. I am hosed for the day unless someone in the Portland vicinity has one on hand that I can buy.
elp_jc I got excited to as I was searching for the correct oil filter. ECS advertised a Magnetic Drain plug for all e9xs however, they don't explicitly mention the M3. So :-(
