Thanks everyone for the nice comments.
So today my dealer told me that he was able to successfully get the M3 that was already on a ship to the US (with literally identical specs to the one I had wanted to order) and that it should be at the dealership within a few days for me to pick up! Amazing luck I guess... excitement levels at having my first ///M are now reaching epic proportions!
