I bought an 08 and at first I wasn't sure if I wanted it or not because of the old iDrive. But after thinking about it a little bit, I realized I wasn't buying the car for its iDrive. Honestly, the only screen the iDrive is on 98% of the time is the Sirius radio screen which displays station, artist and song. If its that big of a deal, you can always upgrade it too.
I got my 2008 back in November with 17,000 miles on it and it was MUCH cheaper than 2010,2011 with similar mileage.
