Why do people say the 1M isn't a real M car? It's RWD, relatively light-weight, manual only and isn't turbo. I've seen a couple in person and I'm impressed. When they drop to the high $40s/low $50s they'll definitely be worth it. However, at current prices I'd take an M3 for its glorious S65 engine and higher degree of practicality.
