i wouldnt blame the accident on the weight of the passengers. the convertible is roughly 220 kg heavier than the coupe and almost as heavy as an SUV, so obviously it wont brake as well. Next time, keep in mind that you already have 3 extra passangers compared to an M coupe.
anyway, the important thing is that no one is hurt.
