A deal killer would be the passenger airbag firing off with no restraint, which is probably more dangerous than no airbag at all. Upon installation, the OC3 will illuminate the "passenger airbag off" light on the overhead panel for verification. The OC3's primary intention was for race use.

FWIW: BMW does offer a similiar deactivation retrofit kit (airbag only) for those wanting to turn off passenger airbag deployment, but this has no affect on the occupancy sensor.
