In Indiana--you need 12 points for suspension, but i have heard of people having many more than this and still being able to drive. 5 is really not too many--I think the average ticket (from personal experience) is 2-4 points, so it should not be that bad. As others have said--try to get traffic school, if they won't give you that over the phone, then getting a good lawyer might be worth it. It might cost you the same or a little more in the long run, but at least you will have less points on your license.  |
in florida im pretty sure anything below 25mph over is 3 points 25-35 is 4 points and anything above 35 is 5 points and they officer can suspend your license and haul your ass to jail
