Is it because the 335 price is inflated to the point that a similarly built car could make a profit at 7K less? If so why would BMW kill their cash cow and pass along the difference to the consumer? If it’s actually 7K cheaper to build then where did they cut costs? And if they cut costs, how will that effect the car’s performance?
Cheaper wheels
Cheaper tires
No sunroof
No Logic7
No HIDs
Cheaper exhaust system
Cheaper materials (no wood trim, etc)
Cheaper suspension bits
......

It can be done, but I think the fact that the 135i comes with the M-Sport package (which would probably be like a $2500-$3000 option here if sold separately), it will be closer to $35K than $32K.
