Assuming Dinan does a flash like they do for the M5 / M6. It would

Raise the rev limiter: Not for power but gives more margin for mis-shifting. If you hit the soft rev limiter, the power cut is substantial and can disturb a car's balance in mid-corner

Remove the Speed Limiter: Not that you can exercise the M3's top speed anywhere in North America but it is the THOUGHT that you could.

Improve throttle response: Tjrottle tip-in will be more aggressive. It will feel something like a stage between regular and with the power button on.

They charge $1000 for the M5 / M6 flash and it is worth every penny. (unlike the Dinan 335i flash for $2000 and the hideous $2000 Dinan Oil Cooler).

And it will not void your warranty.
