Th idea when swapping wheel tire combinations is to keep the OD close to stock. So, if the gap from tire to fender lip got bigger on your 335i when you put on 19s, the OD must have been smaller than that of the 18s. You need to adjust tire profile and/or width to achieve that. That being said, comparing 18s and 19s of the same OD, the gap on the 19s will LOOK bigger, IMO.

Some things to think about:
1) Wheel offset specs are critical to achieving the right look. If you're using wheels from a 335, they won't match right to the larger flare of the M3's wheelwells.
2) The M3 uses wider tires than the 335; may not be compatible with your present wheel width.
