If you are willing to spend the $8k for a stage 1 supercharger, you do get pretty good horsepower per dollar. A lot better than you get with a rear exhaust. I like doing the horsepower per dollar calculations even if I don't always have the cash to do the forced induction mod.
ESS 535 equals 120 hp gain over stock 414 hp for $8000, or $67 per hp. These are crank hp figures.
