So you might be running a thinner or narrower tyre which might explain your wear troubles. The M3 also requires high load-rated tyres which narrows the choice of available tyres significantly. Perhaps you're running the wrong size tyres and throw in a couple track sessions and they're feathered and smashed?
They're 19's, and the rears are 275/35, so slightly wider than standard fitment. The load rating is 100, and speed rating is Y, which exceeds manufacturer requirements for load and meets for speed (98Y). I was sceptical before I bought, and made a phone call to BMW HQ in Melbourne, who advised the tyre is suitable and no issues with the width and speedo readings.

I've had Michelins and Pirelli's on the car, and have now given Kumho's a go. Who knows, I might try something else next (but not Pirelli's!!).

Anyway, I'll likely get the alignment checked. Thanks for the input.
