Where can I find a shift boot? need shift boot options
Hey all,
I am not in love with the long standard shift knob on my m3. I have the shorty OEM ZHP shift knob off an e46 330 6 speed which is weighted and feels much nicer shifting than the lighter, taller factory m3 knob.
My issue, is that the factory knob is connected to the shift boot in 1 piece of leather. I need a separate shift boot.
I dont want to cut the boot off my factory shift knob. The normal e90 shift boot is MUCH larger than the m3 console so that will not work either.
Im not looking for anything fancy. Just a factory looking shift boot. Also, the m3 shift boot leather is nice, soft and smooth where as the standard e90 leather boot has a lot more grain to it.
Any ideas? I was looking in my ETK at work and it seems like there is no OEM m3 shift boot that comes without the knob. Seems like Im forced to go aftermarket....
