Nice write-up OP.

You can get those pads with Stoptech BBK's. They would have been fine if I didn't already have the StreetSport pads that came with the car.
These pads definitely do not have the initial bite of stock pads or the StreetSport pads. I'd say they're similar to the Hawk HPS pads I had on my E36 M3. They say you can NOT track with these pads. I honestly think the StreetSports are a great compromise for dust (slightly more than these ceramic pads), daily driving with good initial bite, and even track duty (B level with CCA). Did I mention they're only about $100/set. It's just depends on how much dust you're willing to live with vs. how much braking ability you want to have.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
