Yolkster, thanks for the advice. A buddy of mine recommended 4.5" pads because he felt you can more accurately apply pressure, and they can get into tighter corners, so I bought those. I do have a larger diameter backing plate, but am guessing the smaller pad only cost me an extra 30 minutes or so.

The time involved wasn't really the polishing, it was the washing - clay bar - re-wash - polish - sealant, plus my inexperience with the process.
