I feel you man and understand where you are coming from. I personally hate the word retard and every post that uses it should be deleted by the Mods. Us with disabled people in their family do have a different perspective on such matters but thank god we are in the minority because it's not only heart breaking to watch but bloody hard work too and in your case very expensive as well.
I know we will never change the world but with the few people that our family members come into contact with they are least will have a different perspective on disability as well and not view them as leapers that you avoid at all costs.
