I cant speak for everyone else, but if you are a serious buyer, then I imagine you are probably evaluating a bunch of cars at the same time. The last thing you want is to post to a forum asking for price and then 3 days later get a reply asking to PM for price.
Also, your comment regarding PMs vs forum posts makes no sense. Yes, maybe in the case of offers, but not for asking price.
I hate to break it to you, but you arent selling some rare piece of art where the value is unknown and you dont want to list a price. Its a car, with x number of miles, a list of options, and condition.
IMO if its for sale, list a price!
