FYI, I went from stock to 10mm all around. That's a much bigger difference than the 3mm your comparing and I feel absolutely no difference at all.
I know 10mm is not a big spacer, but I chose that for a couple of reasons. One is I don't think it looks right when the wheels stick out too far. Two, the farther out you push the wheels the more debris from the road they will throw up on the side of your car.
