I recently hit a pit hole on the front passenger side and it immediately displayed the brake pad wear sensor malfunction message(yellow). A few days later and it is now saying I need to replace the pads(red). I am wondering if it may just be the sensor that needs replacing as I haven't been hard on the brakes at all for it to go from the yellow warning to the red warning that quickly. Here are pics of my brake pads:
