Thanks Ed. +1 on Dave's shot, pretty awesome. There's an even more awesome one in Dave's photostream as well that just blew me away.
I watch the sunrise with my 3yo daughter pretty much every morning, it's kind of our thing that we do. This morning when I came out, it was still dark and within minutes the heavy cloud cover started to have a really faint purple cast to it. I said, I better get the camera, and was really happy that I did.
I shot another version that I need to stitch from 2 shots which will be a shift-panorama from the TS-E 17, will post it when I get it on Flickr.
