Yeah, the 888's would suck on the street. The hot set up is still the RE71R for a dual purpose tire. It's hard to beat the 90% solution of PSS for street comfort with tons of street grip. Not the best for the track though, but I'm a fan of having a set of track only wheels due to the harsher treatment they receive.

Seriously, I can't imagine daily driving the R888R's. At the time we were really considering regularly tracking as a hobby. RE71R would have been a great alternative too. Agree on the track set, so would you run forged on the track and cheaper on the street or other way around? Assuming you wouldn't go forged for both setups $$$$
