one thing I have to give them though, at least the new one is an evolution of the old design rather than a clean sheet. The new version still leaves the older version looking like it's still in the family/still sort of current.
that's been one of the problems with Japanese marques luxury brands, every redesign leaves the old one looking tired and old, hence the terrible resale and lack of brand identity.
as much as I don't care for the product, I think infiniti/nissan is going in a more correct direction than acura/honda or lexus/toyota.
