I tried a piece of titanium shadow which is basically painted plastic. I didn't like the color because it also had some brown it it. I just painted this large dash piece this weekend a semi-gloss black. I will put that in and live with for a while.
As you can tell, I don't particularly like the leather carbon fiber or real carbon fiber. The metal trim clashes in my opinion with the grey leather.
This is turning into a little hobby. No rush, the car works well regardless of the trim.

I'm a big carbon fiber fan but seeing cf leather in a Z4 M prior to ordering an M3 was just ok but I still took that chance since I don't like either of those 2 wood trims. When the car arrived I did a 180 & really liked cf leather in an e9x M3.
