Maybe. On my E46, the vertical angle of my Xeons is controlled by this little sensor that is mounted on the frame of the car and has a little arm that connects to a piece of the suspension.

Assuming the E9X works the same way, if you lower the car, the relationship between the suspension piece and the sensor is changed.

And by the way, the "Dinan authorized" BMW-only shop that installed the suspension on my 330i kinda forgot about that little arm needing to be disconnected before taking apart the suspension and they broke it (and tried to hide that they broke it). Anyway, you might want to check into what sort of sensor the E9X uses and see that it was re-connected / not broken.

If your sensor is broken / not connected, it might be stuck in a position that puts your beams at the highest angle possible!
